SENTINEL
5x8, ink pen on paper, 2015
If each page is a character, a story with a tale to tell, then one must stand guard to protect it all. Sentinel keeps a watchful eye on all of my companions.

FORTRESS REDISCOVERED: BUILDING BLOCKS
5x7, ink pen on paper, 2016
Fortresses are built to serve different purposes. Each unique, they are called into existence from a seed of a thought. Brick by brick, twine by twine, massive structures grow organically, absorbing experiences and laying down a layer after layer, advancing further along until the foundation is no longer in sight. This drawing attempts to look back amidst this process, the tower is unfinished and is leaning sideways to catch a glimpse of its roots.

PROGRESS BREW
5x7, ink pen on paper, 2015
Progress comes from within. It’s driven by the pressure to move forward, bubbling out and twisting into innovative thoughts and intentions. Here you can see a figure that is organic in its fluidity and mechanic in its resolve. It is a mechanism in motion, running through and connecting everything within.

FLIGHT OF A DRAGONFLY
15x8, ink pen on paper, 2017
The Flight of a Dragonfly depicts my experience of stumbling into a whirlwind of dragonflies. Like a tornado, they burst to life, slashing the air in dizzying trajectories. This drawing captures the feeling of their flight - chaotic, yet calculated; unsettling, yet beautiful. The geometric patterns are reminiscent of wing fragments, mimicking the movement of a body in flight.
